LED Sculpture

OK, so this one looks a little like Hayes at Christmas (I will try to post some photos this year), but this LED artist has some truly great pieces. One (which he doesn't have any good pictures of) is a multi-cubed cube with an LED on each corner allowing for 3d images to move around within the cube.

Nova 3D LED Sculpture

The 500 x 500cm Nova is comprised from 300,000 LED's which - when combined - can show 16 million colours at 25 frames per second (about as smooth as TV). Developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology it is currently showing at the Zurich train station's main hall. See the (rather wobbly) video

Superficial

Upon invitation to reflect on the notion of transparency, that led me into the forest to envelop the contour of a large stone with fragments of mirror. The large stone, tucked away deep in the woods, became a reflective surface for its surroundings.
Wonderful and simple sculpture by Michel de Broin, although potentially quite lethal to the surrounding wildlife.
